About Duncan’s Dog Daycare

Duncan’s Dog Daycare (DDD) is 100% female owned by Samantha who is a lifelong dog lover, trainer, and dog rescue volunteer. DDD is named after her “heart dog”, Duncan, the Schnoodle (Schnauzer/Poodle) who she lovingly owned for over 15 years until his passing on December 31, 2020.   She was also the owner to Clarence, the goofy Great Dane who had a history of fear reactivity that pushed her into dog training and inspired “Clarence’s Classes”.

Prior to opening, Samantha tried finding a dog daycare for Duncan while she traveled for work but couldn’t find a place that made her feel comfortable, so she decided she wanted to create a safe and structured dog daycare that offers a holistic approach and transparency with web cameras. After years of research, development, and gained experience she left her career in public health and safety regulations for the government and followed her dream by opening Duncan’s Dog Daycare on the east side of Madison during the beginning of the pandemic.

It is DDD’s mission to care for other’s dogs as if they are Duncan by loving them as if they were our own and to raise the standards for care, safety, and cleanliness for the dog daycare industry.
