Legacy of Duncan

Many may not know that Duncan's Dog Daycare is named after my 'heart dog', Duncan. I got him when I was in college and he was my best friend for 15.5 years until he passed away in my arms at home on New Years Eve which concluded the worst year of my life.

He was the reason I made the decision to change my life completely and open a dog daycare in early 2020. Years earlier, I was searching for a daycare for him when I had to travel during the day for work and I was not impressed by what I saw, heard, and smelled when I viewed other dog daycares. I knew I could make a positive impact by creating a dog daycare I felt he would be happy, healthy and safe. I knew there were other dog moms like me that looked for similar qualities that I found important so I built my operation based off these principles.

I am truly blessed to have been able to spend over 15 wonderful years with this sweet and spunky baby boy and deeply grateful that he chose me to be his mom. He has been the best thing of my life. He has taught me to be goofy, laugh more, not take life so seriously all the time, forgive quickly, go with the flow, look for new adventures bravely and boldly, hang on and keep going one day at a time, find my purpose, love myself more, and welcome everything/everyone with a tenacious love and excited spirit. I wish for everyone to have a love so deep for their heart dog to the point that it touches their soul and provokes profound change that transforms their entire life for the better. I will forever be grateful to have loved the best dog on this planet and to have been unconditionally loved by him in return.

Rest in beautiful peace my sweet Dunky Monkey. Until I see you again, run free and continue to watch over me and DDD.  Your legacy will be honored in everything I do for DDD.
